Instagram Integration — Privacy Policy

1. Instagram Data We Access

When you connect your Instagram Professional account, we may access the following data through the Instagram Graph API:

• Profile information — username, account ID, and account type
• Media — your posts, Reels, Stories, and carousels (captions, media type, permalinks, timestamps)
• Engagement metrics — likes, comments, shares, saves, reach, views, and follower count
• Comments — comment text, author username, timestamps, and reply threads on your posts
• Publishing — the ability to create posts, carousels, Reels, and Stories on your behalf

2. How We Use Instagram Data

Your Instagram data is used solely to:

• Publish content (images, videos, carousels, Stories) to your Instagram account when you request it
• Display your recent posts and engagement metrics within the aiKMind chat interface
• Read and display comments on your posts so you can manage engagement
• Post comments and replies on your behalf when you approve them
• Moderate comments (hide, unhide, delete, enable/disable) at your direction
• Temporarily stage media files for publishing (uploaded to secure cloud storage and automatically deleted after publishing)

We never use your Instagram data to train AI models, serve advertisements, or sell to third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

• OAuth tokens are stored encrypted in isolated storage associated with your agent. Tokens are not exposed to other users or unrelated agents. We use industry-standard encryption (including AES-256 at rest) where supported, and TLS (HTTPS) for data in transit.
• Media files staged for publishing are stored temporarily in secured cloud storage and automatically removed after the post is published.
• Instagram API responses (posts, comments, insights) are displayed in your chat session and are not permanently stored beyond the chat history you control.
• All communication with Instagram's API uses HTTPS encryption in transit.

4. Third-Party Services

The Instagram integration interacts with:

• Meta / Instagram Graph API— to read and publish content on your Instagram account. Meta's data practices are governed by the Meta Privacy Policy.
• Secured cloud storage (where used) — for temporary media staging during publishing. Files are removed automatically after publishing completes.
• AI model providers — your chat messages (including Instagram-related requests) are processed by the AI model you select. See the aiKMind General Privacy Policy for details.

5. Instagram Permissions Requested

When you authorize the integration, the following Instagram permissions are requested:

• instagram_business_basic — read your profile and media
• instagram_business_content_publish — publish posts, Reels, Stories, and carousels
• instagram_business_manage_comments — read, reply to, hide, and delete comments
• instagram_business_manage_messages — manage messages (required by Meta for business accounts)
• instagram_business_manage_insights — read engagement metrics and account analytics

You can revoke these permissions at any time from your Instagram Settings → Apps and Websites.

6. Data Deletion & Disconnecting

You can disconnect your Instagram account and delete all stored data at any time:

• /instagram disconnect— removes your OAuth tokens from your agent's isolated storage
• /instagram reset — removes all configuration, tokens, and stored credentials
• Revoke access from Instagram Settings to fully revoke the app's access to your account

7. Children's Privacy

This integration is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect Instagram data from children.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted at this URL with an updated date.
